# 10+ Diwali Snacks with 1 Dough

## Ingredients

### for dough:

* 3 cup rice four *(fine)*
* 1 cup maida
* ¼ cup besan / gram flour
* ¼ tsp turmeric
* 1 tsp chilli powder
* pinch hing
* 2 tbsp sesame
* 1 tsp salt
* 1 tbsp butter
* water *(for kneading)*
* oil *(for frying)*

## Instructions

1. firstly, in a large bowl take 3 cup rice four, 1 cup maida and ¼ cup besan.
2. add ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder, pinch hing, 2 tbsp sesame and 1 tsp salt.
3. also, add 1 tbsp butter and mix well by crumbling the flour.
4. now add water and start to knead the dough.
5. knead to the smooth and soft dough without putting much pressure.
6. now to prepare snacks, take the mould and fix it to chakli maker. you can use star, line or hole moulds to make a variety of shapes.
7. stuff the dough into the chakli maker and close tight.
8. now press into hot oil by giving random shapes. the shape depends on the mould you have selected.
9. fry on low flame until the chakli turns golden brown and crispy.
10. drain off to remove excess oil.
11. finally, diwali snacks are ready and can be stored in an airtight container for 2 weeks.

    now to prepare snacks, take the mould and fix it to the chakli maker. you can use star, line or hole moulds to make a variety of shapes.

    stuff the dough into the chakli maker and close tight.

## Notes

* Firstly, make sure not to overcrowd the oil, else the snacks will be difficult to fry and not turn crispy.

* Also, adding maida gives nice binding to the dough, recommend not to skip it.

* Additionally, you can vary the spices to your choice.

* Finally, frying on low flame helps to keep **Diwali snacks** crunchier for longer.
