## About

It is a simple and healthy vegetable pancake recipe made with potato grate and a combination of other veggies like carrots and basic spices. **Aloo Cheela**, widely known as Potato Pancake, is a healthy and filling pancake typically served for morning breakfast but not limited to it. Due to the nature of this Cheela, it does not need any additional sides or condiments but tastes fantastic when served with spicy green chutney.

There are many different ways to make this simple and nutritious **Aloo Ka Cheela** or **Potato Pancake recipe**. The most common way is to grate the potatoes and then layer them like dosa or pancake. Fry them till golden brown, on low to medium heat, till they become crisp. The other way is to mash the boiled potatoes and use besan as a binding agent before shaping it like dosa. The other most common way is to use all the different vegetables as supporting vegetables.

## Ingredients

* 3 potato *(grated)*
* 2 tsb pcarrot *(grated)*
* 2 tbsp coriander *(finely chopped)*
* 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
* 2 chilli *(finely chopped)*
* 1 tsp cumin
* ¾ tsp salt
* 2 tbsp besan
* 2 tbsp rice flour
* 2 tbsp corn flour
* ½ tsp pepper powder
* oil *(for roasting)*

## Instructions

1. Firstly, peel the skin of 3 potatoes and grate.
2. Soak the grated potato in water to remove excess starch.
3. Squeeze the water, and transfer to the large bowl.
4. Add 2 tbsp carrot, 2 tbsp coriander, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, and 2 chilli.
5. Also add 1 tsp cumin, ¾ tsp salt and mix well.
6. Further add 2 tbsp besan, 2 tbsp rice flour, 2 tbsp corn flour and ½ tsp pepper powder.
7. Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
8. Grease the pan with oil, and press a ball-sized mixture as thin as possible.
9. Roast on low flame till the cheela turns golden brown.
10. Flip over and roast both the sides till the cheela turns golden brown and crispy.
11. Finally, enjoy Aloo Cheela Recipe with sauce.

## Notes

* Firstly, squeeze off all water from the potato well. Else the mixture will end by adding more flour.

* Also, adding spices is optional. If you are serving kids, reduce the chilli.

* Additionally, adding rice flour and cornflour helps to make cheela crispy.
