# Dosa Chutney Recipe

## Ingredients

* 1 cup coconut *(fresh / desiccated)*
* 1 tbsp peanuts *(roasted)*
* 1 tbsp roasted split gram / putani / dariya
* 2 petals onion
* 2 green chilli
* small piece tamarind
* ½ tsp salt
* ½ cup water *(hot)*

### for tempering

* 2 tsp oil
* 1 tsp mustard
* 1 red chilli *(broken)*
* few curry leaves

## Instructions

1. firstly, in a blender take 1 cup coconut.
2. also, add 1 tbsp roasted peanuts and 1 tbsp putani for hotel style texture.
3. additionally, add 2 petals onion, 2 green chilli, small piece tamarind and ½ tsp salt.
4. blend to a smooth or coarse paste adding ½ cup water or as required.
5. now prepare the tempering by heating 2 tsp oil.
6. once the oil turns hot add 1 tsp mustard, 1 red chilli and few curry leaves.
7. allow to splutter and pour tempering over chutney.
8. finally, serve hotel style dosa chutney with dosa or idli.
