## About

**Sweet Corn Soup** fits right into daily meals since it’s packed with more goodness than most basic soups. Packed with natural fibre thanks to the corn, which helps your digestion stay on track while keeping your gut feeling good. You can whip it up using frozen kernels when needed – though fresh ones bring out richer taste and better bite. Takes little time to cook, turning soft and cosy as it heats through. Every bite warms you up gently, lifted by hints of herbs or a dash of sauce. Works great as a starter, especially when you’re warming up the table. This soup slides into dinner nicely if you need something gentle now and then. The flavour stays soft enough for kids or older folks, good for regular nights or small celebrations. All around, it’s solid food – feeds the body right without killing your taste buds.

This soup offers more options, since you can make it two ways. Or, try using Indo Chinese sauces – soy sauce, vinegar, along with chilli sauce – for a lively, bold take that feels like takeaway. Instead, go with fresh touches like green chilli, coriander leaves, plus a splash of lemon juice to keep things light and zesty. Either way, the corn’s sweet note stands out, yet each brings its own twist on flavour. The recipe takes just a few minutes to get ready – perfect when time’s tight. It’s rich, smooth feel hits the spot without weighing you down. Try it with crisp toast or sip it solo. No matter the twist, the soup keeps its mild taste and good-for-you perks. Still a go-to for anyone wanting cosy, no-fuss comfort in every spoonful.

**Fun Fact:**

<Note>
  Sweet corn soup became popular in India when roadside Chinese carts began mixing fresh Indian corn with Indo-Chinese sauces, creating a flavour locals instantly loved.

## Tips

The **classical Street Style Indo Chinese Sweet Corn Soup** is a light, comforting, and fibre-rich soup made with sweet corn, herbs, and Indo Chinese sauces. It delivers a smooth texture and a vibrant flavour, making it ideal as an appetiser or a light dinner.

1. **Coarse Blend:** Puree a portion of the sweet corn. This gives the soup a naturally thick and silky texture.

2. **Fresh Herbs:** Add chopped coriander and green chilli towards the end. These herbs lift the flavour and add freshness.

3. **Consistency:** Mix cornflour with water before adding. This avoids lumps and creates a clean, glossy finish.

4. **Seasoning:** Add soy sauce, vinegar, and chilli sauce in small amounts. This helps balance salt, spice, and tang.

5. **Simmer:** Cook on low flame for a few minutes. Gentle simmering blends the flavours and keeps the soup light.

## Notes

* First, add your choice of vegetables to make the soup healthier and more nutritious.

* Also, to make it sweeter, add a tsp of sugar. My sweet corns were too sweet, so I skipped them.

* Furthermore, add corn flour paste, checking the consistency.

* Finally, instead of making sweet corn paste, you can use canned creamed corn to make the **sweet corn soup recipe** tastier.
