# How to Make Rice Flour Recipe, Besan Flour, Maida at Home

## Ingredients

### for rice flour:

* 2 cup rice
* water *(for rinsing)*

### for besan:

* 2 cup chana dal

### for maida:

* 2 cup wheat flour / atta

## Instructions

### homemade rice flour preparation:

1. firstly, rinse 2 cup rice with enough water.
2. drain off and spread over the cloth.
3. allow it to dry completely.
4. dry roast on medium flame for 3-5 minutes or until it dries out completely.
5. cool completely, and transfer the rice into a blender.
6. blend to a fine powder.
7. sieve the flour with fine sieve.
8. finally, homemade rice flour recipe is ready.

### homemade besan flour preparation:

1. firstly, dry roast the chana dal on medium flame for 3-5 minutes or until it dries out completely.
2. transfer to a large plate and allow it to cool.
3. blend to a fine powder.
4. sieve the flour with fine sieve.
5. finally, homemade gram flour or besan recipe is ready.

### homemade maida from wheat flour:

1. firstly, tie a fine cloth to a large bowl.
2. sieve wheat flour slowly. you can use a spoon or spatula to press the flour.
3. discard the coarse flour as maida is refined flour for wheat flour.
4. finally, homemade maida or plain flour recipe is ready.

## Homemade maida from wheat flour

2. sieve wheat flour slowly. you can use a spoon or spatula to press the flour.

3. discard the coarse flour as maida is refined flour for wheat flour.

4. finally, **homemade maida** or **plain flour** is ready.

## Notes

* firstly, make sure to dry roast the rice, chana dal completely to increase the shelf life.

* also, store brought maida will be bleached, resulting in white colour. i have shared a healthy way of preparing maida from wheat flour.

* additionally, use high-speed mixi to powder to flour finely.

* finally, **homemade besan, rice flour** and **maida** is ready.
