## About

It is a simple and easy flavored pulao or pilaf rice recipe made with basic ingredients like rice, peas, and basic herbs and spices. Matar Pulao Rice is a popular white-colored rice typically made for celebration or festival feasts. Typically it is served with an additional accompaniment like dal, paneer curries, and salan recipes. However, a simple pickle and raita combination should do the trick. It is also a common lunch box or tiffin box meal with a simple Dal Tadka combination.

There are many different variations to the simple Matar Pulao Recipe, that is practised across different states of India. The most common way is to make it with just basmati rice, green peas, and basic spices. Hence it is typically served with an accompaniment like dal and sabzi to make it a complete meal. However, it can be extended further by adding more veggies and protein to it. You may add paneer, tofu, and even any choice of meat to make it a balanced meal.
