## About

It is a simple fried rice recipe made with pre-cooked rice mixed with pav bhaji masala and cooked vegetables. **Tawa Pulao** or **Pav Bhaji Pulao** is a popular Mumbai-originated street food that has it fan following across India. Typically it is served after appetizer meals like Pav Bhaji or Vada pav as a main meal. But it can also be served as a lunch box or a tiffin box meal for kids and adults. It tastes great when served with a simple yogurt-based raita.

There are many different types of **Mumbai Tawa Pulao**, but the most common is a simple mix of pav bhaji masala and vegetables. Typically pre-cooked basmati rice is just tossed with either pre-cooked pav bhaji curry or mixed with masala and vegetables. It can also be prepared as a pot meal in a pressure [cooker](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure_cooking). This needs more attention as it may turn mushy and sticky. The other types of rice can also be used, but it has to be dry and moisture-free.

## Notes

* Firstly, do not skip adding pav bhaji masala, as it is a key ingredient in this recipe.

* Additionally, keep the vegetables slightly crunchy to give a crunchy bite in pulao.

* Also, you can add chilli paste to make it extra hot.

* Finally, **Tawa Pulao Recipe** also tastes great for a lunch box.
