It is basically an easy and simple dosa recipe made with quick rolled oats with other ingredients like rava and rice flour. The oats dosa recipe can also be a perfect alternative to the traditional recipe as it does not take much time to prepare the batter and can be easily poured into a dosa pan. Once fried it would turn to a thin and crisp crepe and can be easily served with any choice of spicy chutney and sambar for morning breakfast. Additionally, the instant oats rava dosa can be an ideal alternative to the traditional rava dosa too. As a matter of fact, it carries the same crisp texture with almost the same set of ingredients with an extra ingredient of powdered oats. Moreover, it can also be an ideal alternative to the overnight oats recipes served with milk or yogurt. Typically, this instant dosa is served as a quick morning breakfast meal, but not limited to and can be served as a lite meal for lunch and dinner.

Step-by-step

firstly, in a pan dry roast, 1 cup of rolled oats until it turns crunchy.

cool completely, and grind to a fine powder.

transfer the oats powder to a large bowl.

add 1 cup rice flour, ¼ cup rava, and 1 tsp salt.

prepare a watery battery by adding 4 cup of water.

now add ½ onion, 2 chilli, 2 tbsp coriander, 2 tbsp curry leaves, and 1 tsp cumin.

mix well preparing a watery batter. rest for 15 minutes for the oats and rava to soak well.
