About
It is a simple fried rice recipe made with pre-cooked rice mixed with pav bhaji masala and cooked vegetables. Tawa Pulao or Pav Bhaji Pulao is a popular Mumbai-originated street food that has it fan following across India. Typically it is served after appetizer meals like Pav Bhaji or Vada pav as a main meal. But it can also be served as a lunch box or a tiffin box meal for kids and adults. It tastes great when served with a simple yogurt-based raita. There are many different types of Mumbai Tawa Pulao, but the most common is a simple mix of pav bhaji masala and vegetables. Typically pre-cooked basmati rice is just tossed with either pre-cooked pav bhaji curry or mixed with masala and vegetables. It can also be prepared as a pot meal in a pressure cooker. This needs more attention as it may turn mushy and sticky. The other types of rice can also be used, but it has to be dry and moisture-free.Ingredients
