It is a simple, tasty, lip-smacking street-style snack recipe with soft and tender paneer cubes. Paneer 65 Fry is an extension to the popular meat-based or chicken 65 fry recipe prepared for non-meat eaters or paneer lovers. It can be an exciting party starter or a side dish that all age groups should appreciate. In addition, the spiced paneer cubes can be an excellent stuffing between bread or roti breads for a tasty kathi roll recipe. There are many different ways to make this tasty and straightforward Paneer 65 Fry recipe. The most common way is to make these with spiced yoghurt sauce, then toss them in mixed spices. This makes it spicy and savoury on the outside of the paneer and soft and creamy inside. Further, the same recipe can be extended with multiple vegetables to make a mixed vegetable fry. Lastly, the spice heat can be reduced by lowering the spice level for spice intolerants.

Ingredients

for frying paneer:

  • 20 cubes paneer
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp curd
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp corn flour
  • oil (for frying)

for sauce:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • pinch hing
  • 1 inch ginger (finely chopped)
  • 5 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 chilli (finely chopped)
  • 2 dried red chilli (broken)
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • few curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Firstly, take 20 cubes of paneer in a bowl. Add 1 tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp garam masala, and ½ tsp salt.
  2. Also add 3 tbsp curd, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 3 tbsp corn flour. Mix well.
  3. Deep fry in hot oil, keeping the flame on medium.
  4. Once the paneer turns golden brown and crunchy, drain off the paneer and keep it aside.
  5. In a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil. Add a pinch of salt, 1 inch of ginger, 5 cloves of garlic, 2 chillies, and 2 dried red chillies. Saute well.
  6. Also add 2 tbsp tomato sauce, ½ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp chaat masala and cook till the sauce turns glossy.
  7. Now add a few curry leaves and fried paneer.
  8. Mix well, making sure the sauce is coated well.
  9. Finally, enjoy Paneer 65 Recipe hot as a starter.
