Ingredients
- ½ tsp fenugreek seeds
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 2 red chilli (byadagi)
- ½ cup grated coconut
- 1 cup curd / yogurt
- 1 tsp ghee
seasoning Ingredients
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- ½ tsp urad dal / uddina bele
- few curry leaves
Instructions
- in a frying pan take jeera, menthe/fenugreek seeds and red chilli and fry it with ghee for 2 minutes
- add coconut to the frying pan and continue to fry for a minute
- set aside the to cool down
- transfer all the fried ingredients to blender and add little water to blend it to a smooth paste
- take 1 cup of curd in a bowl and whisk it to a smooth paste
- mix the grounded paste to curd
- add salt as per the taste
- heat oil in a pan and temper with the tempering ingredients.
Step-by-step

set aside the pan to cool down.

serve it with hot and steam rice

Notes
- frying the fenugreek seeds in ghee is not mandatory. you can use vegetable oil for frying.
- do not forget to tamper with mustard and urad dal.
- serve with hot steamed rice
- optionally, use green chilies instead of red chilies for different color and texture.
