It is basically an easy and quick way of preparing the traditional pasta recipe prepared in the pressure cooker without pasta sauce. It can be an ideal meal for lunch and dinner with end to end process taking only a few mins to prepare the yummy recipe. The traditional way of cooking pasta involves boiling the pasta kernels separately and then mixing it with cooked sauce. Pasta recipes are not native to Indian cuisine, yet has been widely adopted and appreciated with open arms. Well, there are big fans following the traditional saucy and mild taste of authentic pasta. Yet it has undergone significant adaptation to the original recipe. The most common way is to add all assorted dry spices to the sauce. However, the most recent way is to cook it in a pressure cooker.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 clove garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 tomato (finely chopped)
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp schezwan sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 carrot (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp sweet corn
  • ½ red capsicum (chopped)
  • ½ green capsicum (chopped)
  • 2 cup macaroni pasta
  • 1½ cup water
  • 2 slice cheese
  • ½ tsp mixed herbs
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes

Instructions

  1. firstly, in a cooker heat 2 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter.
  2. add 2 clove garlic, 1 onion and saute until the onion shrinks.
  3. add 2 tomato and saute until the tomato softens and turns mushy.
  4. further add ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp garam masala, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, 2 tbsp schezwan sauce and 1 tsp salt.
  5. saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
  6. also, add 1 carrot, 2 tbsp sweet corn, ½ red capsicum and ½ green capsicum.
  7. stir fry for 1 minute or until the vegetables turn crunchy.
  8. now add 2 cup macaroni pasta and 1½ cup water.
  9. mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  10. pressure cook for 1 whistle on medium flame.
  11. after the pressure is released, you can see the pasta has cooked well.
  12. now add 2 slice of cheese, ½ tsp mixed herbs and ½ tsp chilli flakes.
  13. cover and rest for 2 minutes, so the cheese melts.
  14. mix gently making sure everything is well combined.
  15. finally, enjoy Cooker Pasta Recipe when it is still hot.
