This straightforward fruit-based dessert recipe uses creamy and tasty store-bought corn flour powder and sugar. The Fruit Custard Recipe is a popular and easy dessert that anyone can prepare without much experience. Kids like it because its texture and creaminess are similar to ice cream. Further, the popularity of this dessert is also linked to its bright and attractive colour, which is enhanced by a combination of fruits. In short, this dessert shortens the gap between modern and classical Indian sweets and desserts. There are many different variations to this simple and easy Fruit Custard Recipe. The typical procedure is to make it with whole cream milk with store-bought eggless custard powder. But it can take different fruit flavors on top of the mixed fruits added to it. Add fruit puree like Mango, chocolate, orange, banana, and dry fruit flavour. In addition, the store-bought custard powder can be replaced with a homemade one. It can be prepared by mixing corn flour with powdered sugar.Ingredients
- ¼ cup custard powder
- 5 cup milk
- ½ cup sugar
- pomegranate
- apple
- banana
- strawberry
- grapes
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
Instructions
- Firstly, in a bowl, take ¼ cup custard powder and dissolve with ½ cup milk.
- Make sure there are no lumps, and keep aside.
- In a kadai, heat 4 cups of milk and bring to a boil.
- Once the milk comes to a boil, mix the prepared custard milk mixture continuously.
- Keep stirring till the milk thickens and turns creamy.
- Add in ½ cup sugar and mix well. Continue to cook till the custard turns creamy.
- Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Once the custard milk is chilled, it becomes more creamy. Whisk smooth to achieve a uniform thickness.
- Add in fruits of your choice; I have added pomegranate, apple, banana, strawberry and grapes.
- Also, add ½ tsp cardamom powder and mix well.
- Finally, enjoy the chilled Fruit Custard Recipe.
